Welcome to Tryoom. Tryoom is a service of Ebenezer Ahurein (“Tryoom”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and website (the “Service”). It is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service and applies to all users worldwide.

1Information We Collect

1.1. Account & Payment Data

We collect information you voluntarily provide:

  • Account data: name, email address, and profile information (via Google or Apple sign-in).
  • Payment data: subscription status is managed via Apple App Store and Google Play through RevenueCat. We do not store credit card or bank details.

1.2. Photo & Try-On Data

How we handle your photos:

  • Collection: photos you choose to upload for try-on or to catalog your wardrobe.
  • Analysis: AI services estimate body pose and proportions and analyze garment imagery in order to generate the try-on visualization you request.
  • Processing: performed in our cloud environment and by third-party AI providers (see Section 5).
  • Storage: photos and generated outputs are stored in your private app gallery until you delete them or your account.
  • No model training: your photos are not used to train Tryoom’s AI models or any third-party model beyond what is strictly necessary to generate the requested output and operate the service.

What we do not collect

Tryoom does not extract, store, or process biometric identifiers as defined under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), the Texas Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act (CUBI), GDPR Article 9, or similar laws. Specifically, we do not generate, retain, or use facial geometry, fingerprints, voiceprints, retina/iris scans, or other unique biological identifiers for the purpose of identifying you.

2Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on the following legal bases under GDPR Article 6:

  • Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): processing your photos and outputs to deliver the try-on service you requested, and processing account data to operate your account and subscription.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): optional features such as marketing communications, push notifications, or location-based suggestions. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): aggregated analytics to improve the service, fraud prevention, and securing our infrastructure.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): retention or disclosure where required by applicable law.

We use your information to:

  • Provide the try-on service (process photos, generate outputs, sync your wardrobe and saved looks).
  • Authenticate you and operate your account.
  • Process subscriptions and payments through Apple App Store or Google Play.
  • Send transactional notifications (account, billing, account deletion confirmations).
  • Improve and secure the service through aggregated analytics and error logs.
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from public authorities.

4Data Retention & Deletion

We retain personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes set out in this Policy.

  • Photos and outputs: stored until you delete them or delete your account.
  • Account data: retained for as long as your account is active.
  • Backups: routine backups are retained for up to 30 days for disaster recovery; deleted data is purged from backups within the same window.
  • Legal and financial records: tax and payment records may be retained for up to 7 years where required by law.

Account Deletion

When you delete your account from app settings, all personal data (profile, photos, generated outputs) is removed from our active systems immediately. Routine backups are purged within 30 days as part of standard backup rotation. This action is irreversible.

6International Data Transfers

Tryoom is operated from Ghana. By using the Service, you understand that your personal data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and the European Union, where our cloud and AI providers operate data centers.

Transfer safeguards

Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission with our processors, applicable adequacy decisions, or, where neither applies, your explicit consent. You may request a copy of the safeguards in place by contacting us.
